  • Pramod Sawant is an Indian politician and the 13th CM of Goa. He is MLA from the Sanquelim constituency inĀ  North Goa and is a member of BJP. He is also an Ayurvedic doctor and farmer by profession.

  • During Manohar Parrikar ā€˜s last tenure, Pramod Sawant was elected, in March 2017, as the Speaker of the Goa StateĀ  Assembly. He is the former chairman of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation, which was set up by Manohar Parrikar to take up various infrastructure development works in the coastal state.

  • He has done his Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from the Ganga Education Societyā€™s Ayurvedic Medical College in Kohlapur.
