She won many prizes for her participation in various dance and acting competitions during her school and college days.
During her graduation, she started working as a model. She sent a few pictures of her to Balaji Telefilms who then called her for an audition.
While she was in class 12 preparing for her board exams, she decided to audition for Ekta Kapoor ’s TV serial. She auditioned for it and got selected.
She left her graduation mid-way when she was selected for the TV serial Kasamh Se opposite Ram Kapoor .
While shooting for Kasamh Se, she got a call from the director of the film Rock On!! (2008) to meet him in his studio. She was called for an audition for a role opposite Farhan Akhtar . She got selected in the audition round.
Due to her prior commitment to Kasamh Se, she used to work for both Rock On!! and Kasamh Se at the same time.
In 2007, she won the reality TV dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2.
