Some Lesser Known Facts About Prabhakar Chaudhary
Prabhakar Chaudhary is a 2010 batch IPS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. In his thirteen years of service, he is known for being transferred a total of 21 times. In July 2023, he attracted attention after he was posted out from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, following his issuance of orders for a lathi-charge on Kanwariyas.
Following the completion of his formal education, Prabhakar Chaudhary took the UPSC civil services exam and passed it on his first try. Subsequently, he joined the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVNPA) in Hyderabad, Telangana, where he underwent police training.
After finishing his police training on 30 August 2010, Prabhakar Chaudhary was appointed as an IPS officer.

In the capacity of SP Mathura, he played a crucial part in strategizing and carrying out operations to apprehend mafias and covert criminals.
Amidst turmoil among the residents over a land dispute, he was assigned the position of the GRP head in Jhansi.
At a time of heightened tension in Sonbhadra due to a land dispute clash that caused ten deaths, he assumed the position of the police chief.

As per sources, he was reassigned as the head of the 32 Battalion PAC after giving an order for a lathi charge against Kawariyans in Bareilly, who were involved in a heated altercation with the police.

Prabhakar Chaudharyās experience includes serving as a commando in the National Security Guards (NSG), where he was responsible for training recruits in tactics and handling weapons.
Some sources claim that he could be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in New Delhi on a central deputation.
During a media interaction, he revealed that he wanted to pursue a career in the field of teaching.
After being appointed as the Superintendent of Police in Kanpur Dehat, he used public transportation on his first day, carrying a traditional bag. In an interview, he recounted an incident where the officer-in-charge of the police station didnāt recognize him and denied him entry.
Chaudhary recounted an incident where he disguised himself as a civilian and visited a police station to file a First Information Report (FIR) for a stolen bicycle.
