Controversies	• Received Backlash for His Sexist Comments In 2013, after his performance at IIT Bombay, a student from the college, Arpita Phukan Biswas, wrote a blog accusing Sen for passing sexist comments during his event. She wrote, "He said that girls were beautiful creatures of god while men are more intelligent and a few more sexist comments.” He received huge backlash for making such comments. However, he denied it and said that the girl misinterpreted his statements. The Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan was his schoolmate. They performed together in various stage shows, dance performances, and musical plays. Palash was the first person to playback (singer) for Shah Rukh Khan in a musical play Wiz in his school.

Earlier, he thought of becoming an actor. However, when he participated in singing competitions in school, he started developing an interest in singing. He grew up listening to the American singer Elvis Presley . With his schoolmates, he even formed a band named Quartz.

During his college days, he started a music band named ‘Euphoria.’ In the initial few months of the band, he composed only English songs. Later, the Indian DJ Bhaduri joined his band.

Palash’s band has collaborated with various Indian singers and music bands for many Hindi songs like ‘Jeet Lo Dil’ featuring Strings (2004), ‘Saajna’ featuring Akriti Kakar (2018), ‘Saajna’ featuring Dino James (2021), and ‘Baavra’ featuring Kyna Sen (2021).

As a music composer, he has worked in many Hindi music videos including ‘Sha Na Na’ (2002), ‘Kabhi Aana Tu Meri Gali’ (2003), ‘Raja Rani’ (2003), ‘C U Later’ (2011), and ‘I Like It’ (2020). In 2010, he worked as a music composer in the Tamil film ‘Kadavule Kadavule.’
Apart from singing, he has also acted in a few Hindi films like ‘Mumbai Cutting’ (2010) and ‘Aisa Yeh Jahaan’ (2015).

It’s like her blessings are with me all the time. I also wear a Khartoush with that, which I took from Egypt. In that, the names of my parents are there on either side in Egyptian hieroglyphs.”
In an interview, he shared that during one of his concerts in an engineering college in Punjab, a college boy requested him to perform on the stage. Palash agreed to it and after the boy’s performance, Palash told him that he (the boy) would become a professional singer one day.
