Olandria Carthen grew up in Decatur, Alabama, USA.
Olandria was raised by a teen mom. In an interview, she mentioned that when she was two years old, her father was sent to prison for a crime. He returned home when she was 15 years.
She studied in an underfunded school, but despite the financial challenges, she was very good in her academics.
During high school, she was active in the student council, the National Honor Society, and an honors English club.
After high school, she started working to support her family.
Carthen was the first one in her family who attend college. She attended Tuskegee University, which is a historically Black university (HBCU).
After completing her graduation in logistics, materials, and supply chain management, Olandria joined VOLT Power LLC, Alabama, USA, as a billing specialist. After that, she has worked in various organisations.
Since 2022, she has been working as a sales associate at Otis Elevator Co., where she supports modernisation projects for elevators and other urban transport systems.
Along with her job, she also works freelance model.
In 2025, she auditioned and was selected for Love Island USA Season 7. She was the first female contestant who enter the villa.
