• Australia cancelled his visa: On 5 January 2022, soon aftre he arrived in Melbourne from Dubai to participate at the Australian Open, his visa was cancelled by the Australian government. According to the Australian Border Force, Djokovic failed to provide appropriate evidence to meet the entry requirements to Australia. The develeopment came after Djokovic claimed thbat he had medical exemption to play at the Australian Open; however, the the Australian Border Force found that his medical exdemption was not appropriate, and he used a forged visa to enter the country. In a statement, the Australian Border Force said, "Non-citizens who do not hold a valid visa on entry or who have had their visa cancelled will be detained and removed from Australia."
