Some Lesser Known Facts About Noor Ahmad
Noor Ahmad was 4-5 years old when he started playing tape-ball cricket with his friends.

He was good in his studies and was a school topper in grade 10. Hence, his father didn’t want him to pursue a cricket career. Even his school teachers requested his father to ask him to focus on his studies. But his brother, Noor, convinced his father to allow him.

Around that time, Rashid Khan made his debut for Afghanistan. Noor was impressed and decided to become like him.

One of his bowling strengths is his speed, which is around 115-120 kph, in the range of a medium pacer.
In 2019, he started playing in the Shpageeza Cricket League.

He was only 15 when he played in the 2020-2021 Big Bash League.
At the age of 14 years and 344 days, he registered his name for the 2020 IPL auction but went unsold.
In the 2021 IPL, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) signed him up as a net bowler.
In the 2022 IPL auction, Gujarat Titans acquired him for his base price of Rs 30 lakhs.
He took 2 wickets for 17 runs in the 2023 IPL final which GT won.

Noor Ahmad played 4 matches in the 2023 ODI World Cup held in India and took 5 wickets at an average of 36.40 and a strike rate of 4.79. His best bowling figures were 3 wickets for 49 runs against Pakistan on his World Cup debut.

He was the youngest player (at the age of 18 years 9 months 20 days) in that edition of the ODI World Cup.
In February 2024, he was banned by the UAE’s ILT20 for 12 months as he did not sign a retention notice with Sharjah Warriors.
He played in the 2024 T20 World Cup held in the USA and West Indies and took 1 wicket in 7 matches.
