In her childhood, she wanted to become a journalist like her father.
In the 1930s, during her childhood, she started dancing and singing and performed at county and state fairs.
She moved to Hollywood at the age of 18 and was hired by Bing Crosby to sing at his Turf Club in California.
In 1941, Paramount Pictures signed a contract with her.
Noel Neill made close to 100 films in her career.
In the 1948 and 1950 movie serials, she played the Daily Planet Reporter alongside Kirk Alyn as Superman.
Between 1953 and 1958, she played the role of Lois Lane in the TV series, “Adventures of Superman” alongside George Reeves.
She made appearances in 1978 Christopher Reeve Superman film and in the 2006 Superman Returns film.
In 2004, Noel Neill was awarded with “Golden Boot Award” for her many Western films.
On 21 June 2006, Noel Neill appeared at the premier of “Superman Returns” along-with Jack Larson, Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford.Â
In the town of Metropolis Illinois, there is a statue of Lois Lane in her likeness.
On 23 July 2010, she broke her hip when she fell in her home in Tucson Arizona.
