In April 2015, Nivetha Pethuraj won the Miss India UAE beauty pageant held at Al Raha Beach Resort in Abu Dhabi. Later that year, she participated in the international beauty pageant âMiss India Worldwideâ in Mumbai and became a finalist, finishing in the top 5.

After making her Tamil film debut as Kavya in âOru Naal Koothuâ in 2016, she appeared as Leelavathi in the film âPodhuvaga Emmanasu Thangamâ opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin in 2017.
