Nitya Shetty is an Indian model, actress, and entrepreneur. She predominantly works in Telugu films.
She grew up in a middle-class family in Hyderabad, Telangana.

When she was studying in class 6, she bagged her first acting project.
In 2000, she appeared as a child artist in the Telugu film Devullu in which she played the role of Bhavani.

Subsequently, she played a titular role in the Hindi film Maya (2001).
As a child artist, Nitya has also appeared in the Telugu films Little Hearts (2000), Mounamelanoyi (2002), and Anji (2004).
She worked as a child artist in around 20 films and then took a break from acting to pursue her higher education.
Following her graduation, Nitya bagged a job at Infosys in Hyderabad through campus placements. She began working there as a system engineer. After working at Infosys for around two years, Nitya quit her job as she wanted to make a career in acting.
She then worked as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Geethika Tradelinks Ltd. for around two years.
In 2016, she made a comeback to the Telugu film industry as a lead actress with the film Padesave. In the film, she played the role of Niharika, a chirpy teenager full of life.

A year later, she appeared in the Tamil film Kaadhal Kaalam.
Subsequently, she appeared in the Tamil film Aghavan (2019).
She has also appeared in the Telugu films Nuvvu Thopu Raa (2019), O Pitta Katha (2020), and Wanted Pandugod (2022). However, none of the films performed well at the box office.
