Some Lesser Known Facts About Nitin Kakkar

  • He was just 13 when his father passed away and a few months later his mother died of cancer. He grew up with his two sisters. Since then, he started working to make ends meet, so, he started giving tuitions.

  • When he went to college, he realized that he was very much into the theatre. He believed that it was more like escapism to him and he enjoyed it. He used to sell cosmetic products at that time.

  • When he was 24, he met Amarjeet Amle and started doing amateur theatre with him.

  • He started making music videos for some time jointly with the director Nabhkumar Raju.

  • His first debut film as an assistant director was a Marathi film named “Devki.” Though he could not complete the entire film.

  • He assisted director Siddharth P Malhotra as an assistant director for the movie “We Are Family” starring Kajol , Kareena Kapoor , and Arjun Rampal .

  • During his struggle to become a film director, he directed and scripted daily soaps like Jersey No. 10, CID Special, and Sssshh Phir Koi Hai.
