Neeru Yadav is an Indian social activist who made history by becoming the first female Sarpanch of Lambi Ahir village in Rajasthan in 2020. Her impactful work in the village as Sarpanch has earned her recognition and praise from various organizations.
Following her marriage, Neeru Yadav relocated to Lambi Ahir (also spelt as Lambi Aheer) village situated in the Buhanu tehsil of Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan.

Neeru Yadav became the Sarpanch of Lambi Ahir village following her victory in the panchayat elections held in October 2020. She was an independent candidate and got 1240 votes.

She has been actively involved in numerous initiatives aimed at the village’s development. These efforts include organizing financial awareness programs, overseeing road construction projects, establishing a training centre for the girl’s hockey team, and founding a utensils bank that provides free steel utensils for various events.

Neeru Yadav played a pivotal role in launching the Sachhi Saheli Mahila Agro Producer Company Limited, a Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO), in partnership with NABARD and SIIRD (Society of Indian Institute of Rural Development) in January 2023.
