Some Lesser Known Facts About Naved Aslam
Naved Aslam grew up in a middle-class family in New Delhi.
When he was 10 years old, his father took him to a theatre. After watching the play, he became so desperate to act that he started participating in school plays.
Aslam has received training in Indian classical music from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi where he learnt 10 raags.
He started doing professional theatre when he was in class 9th.
Later he joined Miniature Theater located in Chandini Chownk, New Delhi and took part in various plays.
Naved Aslam began his career in the film and TV industry as a cameraman. He also got training in filmmaking from a film-making school.

Before moving to Mumbai, Naved worked as an assistant film director with many foreign film directors in New Delhi.
Before stepping into acting, he co-produced a few television shows.
His first lead role was of Vivek in the TV serial Hospital (1995), which was aired on Sony TV.
In 2010, he played the role of Patrick in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai which was liked by the audience.

Some of his popular TV serials are Pavitra Rishta (2013) and Usman Abdullah (2014).
In an interview, he said he loves to call himself a communicator, not an actor. Because he loves the way people talk, communicate and share thoughts.

For his award-winning short movie ” The Benefaction”, he charged only one rupee as his fee.
