Nandish Sandhu wanted to become a fighter pilot when he was a child.

He once tried his hands at martial arts, but he had to quit midway due to certain reasons.
Before moving to Mumbai, he lived in various places like Rajasthan, Agra, and Delhi.
Initially, he worked briefly at the Taj Hotel and a call centre in Mumbai.
He started modelling for print advertisements during his 3rd year at IHM Mumbai. Later, he decided to give auditions for television serials on a friend’s advice.
Nandish met actor Rashami Desai on the sets of the television series ‘Uttaran’ in 2009. They soon became friends and then started dating.
He secretly got married to Rashami in 2012. They, however, announced their separation in 2014 as they faced some issues in their marriage. The duo got divorced in 2015.
Nandish has appeared as a contestant in some reality shows like Colors TV’s ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 6′ (2015) and StarPlus’ ‘Nach Baliye 7’ (2015), where he reached the top 8 and was a runner-up respectively.
