Nalin Moniz is an Indian businessman who is known for being the husband of Radhika Gupta , CEO and Managing Director at Edelweiss Mutual Fund.
After completing his school education in India, he earned a certification in International Baccalaureate from the American-British Academy.
From June 2004 to August 2004, Nalin Moniz worked as a Summer Analyst at Lehman Brothers, an American global financial services firm, in New York, USA.
In 2005, he completed a Minor in Mathematics course at the University of Pennsylvania. Meanwhile, he also completed a Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania.
In July 2005, Nalin Moniz joined Goldman Sachs Group, an American multinational investment bank and financial services company in New York, USA, as a Portfolio Manager. He worked there till May 2009.

In July 2009, he earned a certificate of Chartered Financial Analyst from CFA Institute, USA.
In the same year, Nalin Moniz, who was 25 years old and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), left his job at Goldman Sachs with support from only one investor. He took the step when in 2008, a financial crisis in the USA made the future of the asset management industry uncertain. He went back to India to follow his dream.
In July 2009, he, along with his wife, Radhika Gupta , started a company called Forefront Capital, combining his previous experience with a less-explored area in India, and began working as its director. After three years, Forefront Capital became the first officially licensed hedge fund in India. Nalin Moniz played a crucial role in creating a new part of the financial industry. He worked in Forefront Capital till May 2014.

In May 2014, Nalin Moniz joined Edelweiss Asset Management Limited as its Chief Investment Officer (Alternative Equity).

He led the emerging leaders (EL) program for Edelweiss for 4 years from August 2014 to June 2018. Since, June 2017, he has been working as a Mentor for Catholic youth at ‘Take Charge’ in Mumbai.
In January 2019, Nalin Moniz began working as a Coach at SaBeR Fitness Centre in Mumbai, India. He coaches beginner triathlon aspirants.
Apart from being an entrepreneur, he is a professional speaker who often delivers lectures on start-up ideas and their implementation at various renowned Indian educational institutions. In 2020, he delivered a webinar titled “CIO’s Insights: Alternative Equity Primer” in which he discussed the best practices under risk management and examined performance attribution of this high-growth asset category.
