Some Lesser Known Facts About Nainika Anasuru
Nainika Anasuru hails from Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
She has been dancing since she was 5.

She started dating a classmate named Ayush when she was in the 7th grade.
When Nainika’s mother and relatives noticed her dancing on the DJ floor during her uncle’s wedding, they believed she had the potential to become a dancer. Following their suggestion, Nainika later joined Bharatanatyam classes.
Nainika never received support from her father or his family, as they were opposed to her dancing. Her father’s struggle with alcoholism eventually led to her parents’ divorce.
Apart from Bharatanatyam, she is trained in various other dance forms including jazz, belly dance, contemporary, hip hop, and salsa.
She learned dance from Debanjan Bose aka Sunny, a Zumba studio owner and choreographer, who encouraged her to participate in reality shows.
Nainika once participated in a village dance competition and left the place before the results were announced as she thought she would not win. When she learned she had won, she was so encouraged that she decided to pursue a career in dance.
In 2017, Nainika participated in the reality show Dance India Dance 6, which aired on Zee TV. She emerged as the fourth finalist of the show.

She also participated in ETV’s dance shows ‘Dhee 13: Kings vs Queens’ (2021) and ‘Dhee 14: The Dancing Icon’ (2022).

Nainika has appeared in many other television shows including Colors TV’s ‘India’s Got Talent’ and Zee TV’s ‘Dance India Dance L’il Masters.’
In 2023, she played the role of ‘Anu’ in a film titled ‘Pilla Padesave.’
