Some Lesser Known Facts About Nafe Singh Rathee
In May 1996, Nafe Singh Rathee was elected as a Member of the 9th Haryana Legislative Assembly from the Bahadurgarh constituency, representing the Social Action Party. He won the elections by a narrow margin of 1.1 per cent.
In March 2000, he was re-elected as a member of the 10th Haryana Legislative Assembly from the Bahadurgarh constituency on the ticket of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). He served in the position till 2005.

Nafe Singh Rathee then held the position of Chairman of the Bahadurgarh Municipal Council for two terms.
He briefly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2014 after the INLD denied him a ticket. However, the BJP also did not give him a ticket, so he contested independently. Then, in 2018, he returned to the INLD.

Nafe Rathee contested for the Bahadurgarh Assembly Constituency in 2019 but lost to Rajinder Singh Joon of the Indian National Congress (INC).
In 2020, Nafe Singh Rathee was appointed as the State President of the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) in Haryana.

Later, Nafe Singh was appointed as the president of the All India Indian Style Wrestling Association.
He was the national president of the International Spirits and Wines Association of India (ISWAI).
In February 2024, as the president of the Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, he attended the 6th āEthnosport Forumā held in Turkey. He shared his perspectives on promoting the sport of āMud Wrestlingā in his country during the event.

On 25 February 2024, Nafe Singh Rathee was shot and killed while in his car by unidentified gunmen suspected to be part of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Despite efforts to save him, Rathee succumbed to multiple bullet injuries sustained during the attack. check sources Business Standard
