  • Mujeeb Ur Rahman was interested in cricket since childhood and used to played with his family friends at his farm.

  • At the age of nine, he started focusing on bowling and tried different bowling variations with a tennis ball.

  • He later started practicing with his uncle Noor Ali Zadran, who played international cricket for Afghanistan.

  • Since Mujeeb did not have a spin bowling coach, he used to download videos of Ravichandran Ashwin , Sunil Narine , and Ajantha Mendis and copied their bowling actions.

  • He later developed into a world-class spin bowler with variations such as carrom ball and googly.

  • In 2017, he played his first List A match for ‘Speen Ghar Region’ against ‘Band-e-Amir Region’ at Khost, Afghanistan in which he picked 3 wickets.
