In her early twenties, she began singing, primarily focusing on devotional songs. Over time, she expanded her singing career and performed at various events, including religious gatherings and award ceremonies.

She gained fame after recording the popular song ‘Sivuni Aana’ for the Telugu film ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ in 2015. In the Hindi version of the film, she also sang ‘Kaun Hain Voh’ alongside Kailash Kher . Mounima’s talent was discovered at a local singing competition by the renowned music composer M. M. Keeravani , who invited her for an audition at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad.

She later lent her voice to the song ‘Saahore Baahubali’ in the Telugu film ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ in 2017, and she sang songs like ‘Ninnu Road Meedha’ and ‘Savyasachi’ for the film ‘Savyasachi’ in 2018.
