Some Lesser Known Facts About Mishael Morgan
When Mishael Morgan was five, her family moved from San Fernando to New York for her father’s job. Later, they moved to Toronto, Canada, and settled in Mississauga.
She got interested in acting when she was ten years old after participating in her elementary school’s play, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.
Mishael Morgan liked acting in her childhood, but she did not think about doing it professionally.
In 2003, she went to York University to study political science. After completing her graduation at York University in Toronto, she started working part-time as a television actress.
She then met David Ritchie, who became her agent and mentor in acting.
When Mishael Morgan was planning to go to Ottawa University to study law, Ritchie invited her to an audition.
She did well at her first audition and got a chance to appear in Trey Songz’s ‘Wonder Woman’ music video in 2007.

During this period, Mishael Morgan had a near-death experience. This made her rethink her career, and she decided to become an actor.
After doing small roles in some television series, she got a chance to play a lead role, Tracy Dupont-Roymont, in the television show Family Biz on YTV in 2009.

On 19 September 2019, Mishael Morgan announced that she was returning to the show. On the same day, she appeared on the show as Amanda Sinclair, her new character.
On 24 June 2022, she made history by becoming the first black woman to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She won for her role as Amanda Sinclair.
