Director Vetrimaran is a brand by himself. Even though I hadn’t watched movies he’d have directed earlier, I knew he was one of the best directors of the current generation. I’ve done my fair share of family entertainers, but Visaranai was a hard-hitting script. I admit it wasn’t easy playing a cop- the heroine and I were the only two women on sets.”
