In an interview, he revealed that his selection for his debut film Notebook (2019) occurred while he was attending Bhaands Theatre and Acting Classes. His performance as Imraan, a Kashmiri boy, received much appreciation.
In an interview, Zaheer Iqbal , the main lead of the film Notebook (2019), said Mehroos is a very sensitive boy, and he also managed the other child artists on the set.

In 2019, Mir Mohammed Mehroos bagged his second film, Chintu Ka Birthday. He played the role of an Iraqi boy in the film.
In an interview, Mehroos shared that the filming of his first movie, Notebook (2019), took place in Kashmir, which allowed him to balance both school and shooting. For his second film, Chintu Ka Birthday (2019), the shoot was conducted in Mumbai. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, his school arranged online classes, and he took classes in between the shoots.
