Some Lesser Known Facts About Milind Kumar
Before cricket, Milind was into Taekwondo and won the bronze medal for India at the international level. He later started playing football and finally switched to cricket.
Milind’s domestic career started in 2010 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy while playing for Delhi.
Milind played his maiden T20 match against Assam in 2010.
Milind made his Ranji trophy debut for Delhi in 2011 against Haryana. He scored a century and won the Man of the Match award in his debut match.
In Delhi, Milind also played under the captaincy of Virat Kohli in the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy 2013.
Throughout his first-class career, Milind has played 46 matches for various teams and scored a total of 2,988 runs with the highest figure of 261 runs.
Most of the time, Milind likes to meditate before playing a cricket match.
Milind made headlines in 2013 during the practice match between Delhi and England. He remained unbeaten on 78 runs and led his team to victory during the chase of 295 runs along with the captain Shikhar Dhawan who scored a century in the match.

In 2014, Milind was bought by the Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) for Rs. 10 Lakh.

For the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy tournament, Milind switched to Sikkim from Delhi and ended up as the highest run-scorer in the tournament; he scored 1331 runs in the tournament. Next year, he was selected in the India Green team’s squad for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy.
Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Milind in December 2018 to play in the 12th season of the IPL for a sum of Rs. 20 Lakh. He was released by the franchise before the 2020 IPL auction.

Milind was voted the best footballer in the RCB camp in the 2018 season ahead of Virat Kohli .
After playing for Sikkim in the first class, Milind joined Tripura for the 2019/20 Ranji Trophy season. He played the final game of his first-class career in 2020 against Assam.
In search of new opportunities, Milind moved to the United States in 2021. He became eligible to play for the United States national cricket team in 2024.
Texas Super Kings bought Milind in June 2023 in round four of the player’s draft to play in the first season of Major League Cricket (MLC).

Milind was part of the United States team that made it to the 2024 T20 World Cup Super 8s.
In September 2024, Milind led the United States team to victory and scored 155 runs against UAE in the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two stage, the second level on the route to qualification for the Cricket World Cup.
