In an interview, the Indian actor Sahil Khan shared how he met Milena for the first time. He said that while he was at a restaurant in Moscow, he saw Milena there for the first time while she was having dinner with her mother. Sahil approached her for a modelling offer, but she denied saying that she wanted to get married and have kids. Sahil was impressed by her simplicity and honesty and gradually fell in love with her.
A few months later, they got engaged in Moscow.
