Some Lesser Known Facts About Michael Blohm-Pape
Michael Blohm-Pape is a German citizen who works as a Business Development Manager at a shipping company, Hapag-Lloyd AG. He is married to Indian actress Sreejita De .
He did an internship as a Customer Service Sales Support at Hevold Shipping A/S for two months in 2011. He later worked with Hapag-Lloyd AG for five years since 2013. In 2018, he shifted to India for an import business that he had set up with Sreejita.
They met each other in January 2019 in a restaurant. Sreejita made the first move and exchanged numbers with him. She texted him after two months, and they started meeting more often.
They got engaged to each other in December 2019. The ceremony took place in a small event, and it was attended just by their families.
They had planned to get married in 2020, but due to the pandemic, the wedding was postponed. Later, they planned to get married in 2022. They also thought of getting married in both Indian as well as German weddings. In an interview, his fiancee Sreejita De talked about their wedding and said,
Ever since we got engaged, my parents have been asking me about our marriage. We had planned to tie the knot in December 2020, but postponed it due to the pandemic. Since the situation continues to be grim, we plan to get married next year.”
His in-laws were not very happy with the wedding initially, but later, they agreed to their marriage happily. In an interview, his fiancee talked about their family and said,
The biggest barrier is the language. Both our mothers aren’t fluent in English, and it’s a laugh riot to watch them together. They communicate via sign language and gestures.”

In an interview, his fiancee talked about how much she loved Michael and said,
He understands me like no one does. Earlier, I had anger issues but Michael’s presence in my life has calmed me down. He has been like an emotional anchor. And most importantly he’s fond of fish and roti (laughs). He likes Durga Puja, too. He tries and makes every day special for me. I’m the happiest with him around.”
In May 2021, both Michael and Sreejita De tested positive for COVID-19, and they were quarantined together. In an interview, his fiancee talked about being together during this time and said,
Both Michael and I tested positive for COVID-19 last month. We always knew that we would support and love each other through all the ups and downs of life, and fighting this virus together has made our bond stronger. It made us reexamine our priorities.”
In December 2021, Michael proposed to Sreejita in front of the Eiffel Tower and posted a picture on Instagram.

On 9 November 2024, Sreejita and Michael Blohm had their sangeet and mehendi ceremony done as per the Bengali customs. On 10 November 2024, the couple had a haldi ceremony, which was attended by many celebrities.
