His ancestors came from Hubei province in China in the 18th century and since then their family is living in India.
He has started his career with the singing show Indian Idol 3 & he has sung Bollywood songs like Tu To Na Ayi, Kuch Dino Se, Hanju.
He has also done TV commercials like Kurkure, Orbit chewing gum and McDowellâs No. 1.
He has hosted the fourth and fifth seasons of the singing reality show Indian Idol, which made him the first ex-contestant to ever host the show he has also hosted the Indian Premier League, Indiaâs Got Talent, Mirchi Music Awards, IIFA.
