Some Lesser Known Facts About Megha Thomas
Megha Thomas was born and raised in a middle-class Malayali family.
After her father’s retirement, she left New Delhi with her family and moved back to their ancestral home in Payyanur, Kerala.
In an interview, Megha revealed that acting had never been her biggest passion. Even though she was active in extracurricular activities, she never tried her hand in acting. She also added that most of her family members have a medical learning background.
After high school, Megha’s mother convinced her to join the theatre and learn acting.

Within a short span, she became a core part of many successful plays.
Before moving to films, Megha Thomas worked as a model and dancer in music albums and commercial ad shoots.
In an interview, she shared that while working in the theatre, she came to know about the audition for the film Oru Njayarazhcha (2019) through her friend. She sent her profile to the casting director, and the film’s director, Shyamaprasad, was impressed by her profile and invited her to audition. After her audition, Shyamaprasad offered her the role of Suja in the film.
One of her co-stars in the film Oru Njayarazhcha (2019) introduced her to film director Ashraf Hamza. He liked Megha’s performance as Suja and offered her the role of Kinnari in the film Bheemante Vazhi (2021). This film was the major breakthrough of her career.
Megha Thomas has done notable work in films such as Aaha (2021), Bharatha Circus (2022), Garudan (2023), Pulimada (2023), and Anchakkallakokkan (2024).
Megha Thomas loved drawing and painting Mandala art.
In an interview, Megha revealed that she loved village life a lot and often visited her ancestral home in Kerala.
