In October 2018, she entered the Malayalam film industry with a music album titled āKaumaram,ā featuring popular actress Surabhi Laxmi. Once, in a media interview, she shared how Surabhi Laxmi approached her for a role in a Malayalam film. Meenakshi Dinesh said,
Iām from Kannur and I met her during an ad shoot for Kannur airport that happened in my locality. We became good friends at that time. When she asked whether I would be interested in acting, I immediately said yes. Those who had worked in the project showed my photos to Joshiy sir for Porinju Mariam Joseās character, and eventually Mission C also happened.ā
