Some Lesser Known Facts About Mayuri Kango
Mayuri Kango is a former Indian actress. She is known for her work in the film âPapa Kahte haiâ opposite Jugal Hansraj . In March 2019, she joined Google India as the Head of Industry.
She started participating in theatrical plays when she was a child. In an interview, she revealed that her mother used to act in theatrical production and she too used to join her mother in her plays, where eventually she got small roles to play which later, lead her to pursue a career in acting.
Kango made her Bollywood debut at the age of fifteen with the film âNaseemâ in which she appeared in a leading role. In an interview, she revealed that she didnât have any plans to become an actress and had also passed an entrance exam for IIT. However, she later decided to accept the offer of the film and decided to step into the film industry.
After making her Bollywood debut with the film âNaseemâ (1995), she played the role of Sweety Anand in the film âPapa Kahte haiâ (1996) for which she received immense appreciation from the audience.

After making her television debut with the TV show âNargisâ in 2001, she appeared in the TV show âDollar Bahu,â âKaahin Kissii Roz,â and âThoda Gham Thodi Khushiâ in the same year. She also appeared in the music TV show âRangoliâ that year.

Mayuri Kango shifted from India to the US in 2003, after her marriage. Later, she pursued her post-graduation and worked from 2004-2012 in the US. However; she returned to India in 2012.
In 2007, Mayuri Kango stepped into the corporate world. She joined â360i,â a digital agency, as an associate media manager and worked there for two years. In the digital agency, she had the responsibility to plan and implement digital campaigns for firms.Â
In February 2009, she joined the âOmnicom Media Group Companyâ in association with Resolution Media as a supervisor and had the responsibility of leading the search engine marketing business for Resolutions Media on Pepsi, Monster, and Electrolux there. She left the company in June 2010, after working there for more than one year.
In June 2010, she started working as an associate director at âDigitas,â a global marketing and technology agency, where she was responisble for leading the delta search business. She worked there for more than and her renounced her job from there July 2012.Â
In July 2012, Mayuri Kango joined the ROI agency âZenithâ in Gurgaon, Haryana. She served there as a chief digital officer and supervise the digital strategy of the agency. She resigned her job from there in December 2016 after working for more than four years.
In June 2016, she joined the performance marketing agency âPerformicsâ in Gurgaon, India as a Managing Director and worked there for almost three years.
In March 2019, Google India appointed her as its Head of Industry â Agency partnerships.
In an interview, she said that she thinks that film actors should complete their studies and must have a Plan B before taking a break from the film industry. In the interview, she said,
