Some Lesser Known Facts About Mauricio Gómez

When he was 3 months old and fell sick, his father went to a medical store. While returning from the store, he was shot 15 times and killed on the spot.
In an interview, Mauricio Gómez revealed that his father was abusive to his mother and had cheated on her due to which he had two daughters. He revealed that he doesn’t know his sisters and said,

I have two sisters that I know exist, but I don’t know them. It turns out that my father was unfaithful to my mother and had two daughters with that person.”
After the death of his father, his mother entered several abusive relationships and was often beaten by her partners.
Mauricio Gómez grew up in a poor household and started working odd jobs at a young age to earn money.
He was bullied at school for his big ears and for wearing the same shoes every day.
He started making content on social media in 2015 when one of his videos making fun of his poor economic condition went viral and helped him become famous.
He bought a house for his mother in 2018.
In an interview, he talked about getting the nickname ‘La Liendra’ from his fans as he would often refer to his fans as ‘Liendra’ and said,

At one point I started saying “liendra” a lot and when I started making content on social media I would say hello: “Hello, liendras” and when they saw me on the street they started calling me that.”

On 15 February 2021, he uploaded a video on his social media displaying a QR code tattooed on the back of his neck that could be used to open his Instagram account. In March 2021, he revealed that the QR didn’t work anymore.
He took to Instagram and talked about regularly getting overwhelmed with requests for money from his fans and his family members. He said,

I feel overwhelmed. What a crazy demand for money I am experiencing. About 40 people approached me to ask me for things, of those, 30 were for bad things. There were people who insulted me if I didn’t give them anything.”
In July 2022, he revealed that due to poor conditions, his sister had to work as a sex worker to provide for the family.
In August 2022, eggs were thrown at him and his girlfriend, Dani Duke, when they were entering the residential complex where they live.
Later, he confronted the people living in the complex asking who threw the eggs but the culprit wasn’t revealed.
In October 2022, he challenged fellow content creator Nicolás Arrieta to a boxing match after they fought on social media.
The fight occurred on 1 September 2023, and Mauricio Gómez won the fight which was titled, ‘King of the Ring.’
