Mansoureh Khojaste Bagherzadeh was born in a Persian religious family in Mashhad.
She got married to Ali Khamenei after Ali’s mother came to her house and asked her family to get her married. She was only 17 years old at the time.
She once protected many rebellious written pamphlets and books by hiding them in her clothes when the guards came to arrest him in the 1970s.
She has never appeared in public with her husband, Ali Khamenei .
There is no photo of her available on social media.
In 2011, she was hospitalised, but no one recognised her. They only came to know she was Ali Khamenei’s wife when he visited her in the hospital.
In 2024, she was admitted to the ICU at Tehran Hospital.
She has only given one interview in her life, and that is in Arabic.
