In 2019, while he was pursuing his graduation at Sharda University, he saved a girl from committing suicide. One day, when he was sitting in his college’s canteen, he noticed a girl sitting on a wall’s edge of another building of the college. He immediately ran to save the girl. He started convincing her to come down from the wall. However, the girl denied it. Within a fraction of a second, Manjot ran towards the girl to save her, but the girl tried to jump off the building. Manjot immediately held her right hand and saved her. For this act, he received various honours.
In the same year, a Punjabi film titled ‘Manjot Singh- A Real Life Hero,’ based on the same incident was released.

Whenever he gets spare time, he enjoys travelling and swimming.
