A female Home Guard constable named Sanket Kumari made allegations against Manish in October 2020 when he was posted as Amroha District Commandant. She claimed that he had summoned her to meet him alone, similar to previous accusations made by two other female Home Guards who claimed that he coerced them into cooking at his residence day and night. Sanket further stated that her request to be excused from a parade led to her removal from duty by Manish.


Despite her efforts to address the issue with the Commandant, no action was taken. In response, she lodged a complaint at the Chief Minister's office and also filed a complaint with the DG Home Guards on 26 October 2020. Although the DG assured her that she would be assigned duty in Amroha, she remained without any assignment for more than five days. Manish denied the allegations, asserting that he had called her to his office solely for work-related purposes.

, a sweeper, publicly accused her of being unfaithful and having an extramarital affair with Manish when he was posted a Home Guard District Commandant in Ghaziabad. He claimed that Dubey's wife informed him about the affair in 2020 and stated that Jyoti initially met Manish on Facebook. When confronted by her husband, Jyoti denied the allegations and demanded evidence; however, her husband stated that he followed her to Lucknow, where he witnessed her meeting Manish and spending the night together at Hotel Myriad. Alok also alleged that Jyoti threatened him with false charges, including rape, and released intimate WhatsApp messages between Jyoti and Manish as evidence.


He further claimed that Jyoti kept a diary documenting bribes received during her tenure as an SDM. Alok sought help from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
and filed a complaint with the police, but no action was taken. Jyoti denied the allegations and vowed to address them in court.


She filed a dowry harassment case against Alok and his family. The Director General of Home Guards ordered an investigation into the matter, and rumors circulated about Jyoti's suspension, although confirmation is pending.
