Manali Dey grew an interest in acting after working as a child artist in ‘Kali Aamar Maa’ in 1999 and decided to pursue acting as a career.
She also worked as a child model for Bengali magazine Unish-Kuri.
After completing her secondary education, she started working full-time in the films. So to complete her higher secondary education she enrolled in an open board school ‘Amrit Academy, Kankurgachi’.
She is also a trained dancer. She was trained under her mother and Madhumita Roy.
