At the age of just 15, Maleeka R Ghai joined the entertainment industry.
In 1992, she anchored her first TV show âSur Sargamâ in Delhi that was aired on Doordarshan.
She has also worked as a theatre artist and has done several plays like Timtim, Saraye, Hello, etc.
In 1993, Maleeka moved from Delhi to Mumbai to work as a full-time actress.
She got a breakthrough role in 1994 in the TV serial âImtihaan.â
In 2002, she quit acting and had indulged into spiritual activities with yoga, meditation, and healings.
After a long gap, Maleeka made her comeback in 2013 with the TV serial âPunar Vivah â Ek Nayi Umeed.â
Apart from being an actress, she has also worked as a lyricist with some famous music directors and assisted them in writing the lyrics of various projects. Some of her lyrics have been used in Roop Kumar Rathod âs songs and some of them have been used in a special episode of the TV serial âJhansi Ki Rani.â
