Mahir Pandhi is an Indian actor who is known for his role as Rajveer Singh Babbar in the Hindi television show âChoti Sarrdaarniâ (2019).
He came from a highly disciplined family background. His grandmother was a principal, while his grandfather was a powerlifter. Their lifestyle was characterized by routines and schedules. In his childhood, there was a rule in their house to wake up at 5:30 am every day for football practice. This commitment to practice greatly contributed to his success in football, and ever since then, his life has revolved around following a well-structured timetable. He maintained this discipline consistently, even on weekends, when he would go to bed early, such as at 9 pm, in preparation for school on Monday. He belonged to a closely-knit joint family comprising around 14 individuals, which is quite rare in todayâs times.

He always wanted to become an actor as a child. He used to play football professionally. He started acting when he was in the third grade. He got into All India Radio as a drama artist and also did a lot of dubbing. Theatre also played an important role in his life.

He was a very obese guy and weighed over 130 kg. He was not confident in uploading his pictures on social media sites. When he lost weight and overcame his insecurities, he decided to become a model so that he could be clicked. Initially, when he started working out and losing weight, his primary goal was to participate in Mr India.

In 2018, he won the beauty pageant âTop Model India.â The show provided an opportunity for 12 aspiring models to undergo a transformation into supermodels. Throughout the show, they received guidance from judges Lisa Haydon, Atul Kasbekar, and Anaita Shroff Adajania, with mentorship from Shibani Dandekar. Although the show did not involve any monetary prizes, he secured an opportunity to work with Bling Entertainment, who were supposed to manage him after the show. He considered the first episode of the show to be the most challenging, as he had to walk in swimwear because he had gotten out of the hospital after suffering from dengue and his body was not in the best shape. He was afraid that he might get some negative comments.

After winning the show in an interview, he said if he did not become a successful model, he would shift to acting.
He moved to Mumbai after winning the beauty pageant. He struggled for some time in Mumbai as he did not have any connection in the industry, but he made his debut with the show Choti Sarrdaarni. In an interview, he said that wearing a turban in the show Choti Sarrdaarni was an honour and a huge responsibility for him. In the interview, he further added that the show was trying to show different sides of Punjabi culture rather than just the funny side of the Sikhs.
He has appeared in Hindi television shows including Pawan & Pooja as Raool (2020), Bebaakee as Dilsher (2020), and Vanshaj (2023).

In an interview, he talked about TV shows being regressive and said,
I donât think regression is the term. Thatâs the sort of content that people want to see. Itâs selling and thatâs what matters. At the end of the day, the people who are a part of it end up being big names. So it works for everyone.â
In an interview, he said that he does not get nervous and has a âchilledâ attitude. Before going to the stage, he eats a lot of good food which includes his diet food.
In 2022, he shot for a Thai-English film which was not released on the OTT platform. The news came up when fans of Thai actress Bella Ranee Campen posted some pictures on social media featuring Mahir in them.
In 2023, he was rumoured to be dating television actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia . In an interview, he talked about the rumours and said,
Iâm the one who keeps my private life private. Iâll still keep it private. But for the one who raised the topic it would be better if you clear it with that person about who it is. Thatâs a little better if it comes out from the source you will get accurate information. Itâs her life her decisions you know once youâre youâre on a public platform uh you have to do certain things in a way that you wouldnât do in reality. Thatâs what I would you know say, because I know people tend to get into your private life too much.â
According to him, he does not like doing a particular character for a long time. He likes to experiment with different looks and genres.
