She joined a theatre to learn acting and appeared in many popular plays including ‘You Only Marry Twice’ during her college days.

‘Salam Sindh,’ her debut show as a host was exclusively broadcast in the Sindhi language and focused on the Sindhi community of Pakistan. The show featured many popular Sindhi personalities from various fields such as acting, singing, and art, who shared their life stories and more.
She essayed supporting roles in many popular Pakistani dramas such as ‘Toote Hue Taarey’ (2014), ‘Teri Meri Jodi’ (2015), and ‘Tum Milay’ (2016).
In 2016, she appeared in the lead role of Roshni in the TV show of the same name. She played the role of a courageous girl who fights for the rights of other women around her and is always looking to help others. She received the critical acclamation for her performance in the show.

In 2017, Maham essayed the role of Noshi in the sitcom ‘Ready Steady Go.’ Her husband, Faizan Sheikh , and mother-in-law, Parveen Akbar also played important roles in the show. The show was well-received by the audience which led to the premiere of the second season in February 2020.

In 2018, she appeared in the TV show ‘Saaya’ as Sauleha. The show, which aired on Geo Entertainment, also featured her husband, Faizan Sheikh as Sajid. Initially, the director planned to conclude the series after 55 episodes. However, due to the positive response and feedback from viewers, the series was extended to a total of 70 episodes.

In 2018, Maham and Faizan Sheikh, participated in the third season of reality show ‘Madventures,’ a show inspired by the American reality series Fear Factor. Despite their efforts, they were eliminated towards the end of the show and narrowly missed out on the victory.
In 2022, she played the role of a constable, Rukaiyya, in the TV show ‘Aik Thi Laila.’
