Some Lesser Known Facts About Madhu Mantena
Madhu Mantena is an Indian film producer and entrepreneur who has gained recognition for producing highly successful Hindi films. He was previously married to renowned fashion designer Masaba Gupta and tied the knot with Ira Trivedi , a well-known yoga teacher and author, in June 2023.
During his teenage years, he began acquiring knowledge about the manufacturing of fibre drums at his father’s factory. Subsequently, he explored his interests in music and film production by establishing a music label and selling it later to the Supreme Recording Company.

With the support of Manmohan Shetty, he went on to establish Adlabs’ International Operations. His career progressed further as he assumed the position of Head of Saregama Films. In 2007, he founded Big Bang Media Private Limited, where he took on the role of Chief Creative Officer.
In collaboration with Anurag Kashyap , Vikas Bahl , and Vikramaditya Motwane , he established Phantom Films in 2011; however, after the dissolution of the company in 2022, he and Sheetal Talwar acquired the Phantom brand and rebranded it as Phantom Studios.
He is the founder of Mythoverse LPP, a company that has made noteworthy announcements regarding the production of large-scale films based on Hindu epic texts such as Ramayana and Mahabharat.

He has worked as a film producer on projects in five different languages: Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, and Bengali.
Madhu Mantena has garnered success as a film producer, with several of his productions becoming superhits. Notable examples include the 2014 Hindi film Queen, the 2016 Hindi film Udta Punjab, and the 2019 Hindi film Super 30. Additionally, he has produced the popular Netflix web series Sacred Games. In 2023, he made exciting announcements about upcoming projects, including a film on Kashmir’s last Hindu Queen, Kota Rani, and a film based on the epic Mahabharat.

After publicly announcing his marriage with Ira Trivedi in April 2023, he disclosed that their acquaintance spanned over a decade. He had previously proposed to her, but she declined the proposal citing concerns related to caste, age, and cultural disparities. Following this, he married Masaba Gupta , but their marriage ended in divorce. Eventually, fate brought Madhu and Ira back together, leading to their eventual marriage.
