Luna SofÃa Miranda grew up in Brooklyn.
While growing up, she wanted to study film and theatre in college. However, she could not afford it due to a lack of finances.
She then joined a burlesque club (where dance performances are done).
In her teens, she started performing as a strip dancer.
She has worked in various adult films and short films.
At the age of 21, she met a 50-year-old man who had promised her of marriage. She signed an agreement with him that he would pay her $96,000 for a year of weekly meetings. However, during the COVID-19 lockdown, she lost contact with him.
She has been performing as a stripper at the club named Pumps in Brooklyn for a few years. In 2022, while she was doing the night shift as a stripper at Pumps, she met the American filmmakers Sean Baker and Sammy Quan. They offered her a role in the English film ‘Anora.’ Six months later, she auditioned for the role of Lulu and got selected.
