She met Keshav for the first time in 2018 through a mutual friend after which they dated each other for around five and a half months. Keshav proposed to her on 28 July 2018, and she became his girlfriend. They did not tell their families about their relationship, fearing they might not approve of it; however, she often went to cricket stadiums to cheer him.

Keshav came up with a plan to tell his family about Lerisha and planned a Kathak dance performance on his mother’s 50th birthday which his mother liked and later gave her consent for their marriage.
