Some Lesser Known Facts About Latha Rajinikanth
Latha Rajinikanth grew up in a middle-class family in Thiruvallikeni.
She began her career as a playback singer in the Tamil film industry in the 1980s.
In 1981, she lent her voice to the song Netru Indha Neram from the film Tik Tik Tik.
She then lent her voice to many songs including Kadavul Ullame from the film Anbulla Rajinikanth (1984), Ding Dong and Kukkukoo Koovum from the film Valli (1993), and Manappenin Sathiyam from the film Kochadaiiyaan (2014).
Latha has also contributed to the music album Rajini 25 (1999). The album celebrated Rajinikanth’s 25 years of his career.
An educationist, Latha Rajinikanth founded The Ashram, a school in Velachery, Chennai, in 1991. As of 2024, she is the head of the institution.
She has also worked as a costume designer for the film Valli (1993).
Latha Rajinikanth is related to the former film actress Vyjayanthimala.
She is the founder of Shree Dayaa Foundation, a non-profit organisation to support the elders of the society.

Latha Rangachari met Rajinikanth for the first time in 1980 when Rajinikanth was shooting for the Tamil comedy film Thillu Mullu. At that time, Latha was a college student and desired to interview Rajinikanth for a college magazine. When they met, it was love at first sight for Rajinikanth. They soon, began dating and tied the knot with each other.
