Landy Parraga began her journey as a beauty queen in 2017-18 when she became Reina de la Parroquia Venus Del RÃo (Queen of the Venus Del Rio Parish).

At 18, Goyburo participated in the Reina de Quevedo 2019 beauty pageant. She represented Special Forces Group No. 26 Cenepa, a unit of the Ecuadorian Army located in Quevedo. She was placed second and crowned Virreina de Quevedo 2019.

She worked as a volunteer at the Quevedo Gerontological Center.
She volunteered to construct shelters in Manabà after the 2016 Ecuador earthquake.

In December 2023, Goyburo made headlines when her name popped up in the Metastasis Case, a probe into a criminal network in charge of corrupting Ecuadorian state officials.
On 28 April 2024, Goyburo was shot dead by two unidentified killers at a restaurant in Quevedo after she shared her location on Instagram. In the post, she shared that she was having octopus ceviche for lunch.

The incident was caught on CCTV. In the video, Goyburo could be seen speaking with a man at the restaurant while one gunman is standing near the entrance and the second is running towards her. The gunman shot her three times before fleeing the scene. Goyburo died on the spot.
At the time of her murder, Goyburo was in Quevedo to attend the wedding of her friend Jhoa Chong-Qui.

Reportedly, Goyburo had an affair with the drug trafficker Leandro Norero, an Ecuadorian criminal and drug trafficker who died during a shootout between inmates at the Latacunga Social Rehabilitation Center in 2022. The police suspected that Norero’s widow, Lina Romero, might be behind Goyburo’s murder.
She enjoyed drinking alcoholic beverages occasionally.
