She belongs to a family of farmers in Mizoram.
When she was 11, she was selected at a hockey academy run by the government of Mizoram in Thenzawl, Serchhip.
She enrolled at the National Hockey Academy in New Delhi in 2016.
In 2018, she scored seven goals in five games of the Asian Youth Olympic Games qualifier.
In the 2018 Asian Champions Trophy, she scored two goals across five matches.
She was titled India’s youngest player to play in the 2018 World Cup in the Netherlands.
In 2018, she scored four goals at the Jakarta Palembang Asian Games.
After she won a silver medal in the Asian Games in the same year, she became the first sportsperson from Mizoram to win an Asian Games medal.
