Some Lesser Known Facts About Laloo Prasad Yadav
Laloo Prasad Yadav completed his education in Saran after which he started working as a farmer.
He later started working as an assistant (taid aka munshi) for a private firm at the Sub Divisional Office, Marhowrah.
He was inspired by Kaka Joginder Singh (1918-1998) to contest elections. Singh had fought and lost more than 300 elections.

He later got popular for being the namesake of Lalu Prasad Yadav , the popular politician of Bihar.
He has contested several elections including MLC (Member of Legislative Council), MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly), and MP (Member of Parliament) in Bihar.

In an interview, he revealed that RJD Supremo Lalu Yadav blamed him for the defeat of his wife, Rabri Devi , in the 2014 general elections from the Saran Lok Sabha constituency as voters got confused about his name. He got around 10 thousand votes in that election.
He received around 6000 votes in the 2019 general elections from Saran.
He also filed for the 2017 and 2022 elections for Indian President.
Yadav made headlines in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections when he filed his nomination against his namesake Lalu Prasad Yadav ‘s daughter, Rohini Acharya , from the Saran constituency.

He later withdrew his candidature to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
He often engages in social work to help out the community.
He once revealed his aspirations and said that he wanted to become a Sarpanch, MLC, or MLA. He also hoped to make the record of contesting maximum elections.
He has often been criticised by many people as a vote katwa (one who divides votes).
