Kyle Forgeard is the co-founder of the popular Youtube channel âNELK.â Formerly branded as NelkFilmz, the entertainment company is known for its prank videos, public stunts, and vlogs. The crew members of NELK are referred to as NELK Boys.
Reportedly, to become a YouTuber, Kyle Forgeard dropped out of his college. During a Q&A, when a fan asked: âWhat inspired you to start making your own videos?â Kyle replied,
Me and Jesse both come from a film-making background, I used to be into directing videos, I have always known how to edit. I have been making videos just for fun since I was a little kid, like funny videos and stuff. YouTube was just natural⌠I was doing it for fun and then I started getting a following..it was so encouraging to keep going.â
Kyle Forgeard founded NELK in 2010. Earlier, he used to upload small skits and funny videos on his YouTube channel, but later, Jesse Sebastiani joined NELK, and together they turned it into a prank site. On 13 April 2013, Kyle uploaded his first video âMcDonalds Job Interview PRANKâ on his YouTube channel.
In 2015, NELK came into the limelight with its âCoke Prank on Copsâ video that went viral on the internet. In the video, the NELK Boys upset the Los Angeles Police Department by admitting they had coke, leading the officers to think that they were referring to cocaine, only to reveal that they were actually referring to Coca-Cola.
Around 2017, NELK launched its lifestyle brand âFull Send Merchandise,â an online portal featuring customised apparel and accessories of NELK. In October 2018, NELK donated a portion of their merchandise earnings to a breast cancer awareness program.
On 2 January 2018, NELK received YouTube Golden Button for crossing 10,00,000 subscribers.
In February 2020, the crew members of NELK moved in together in a mansion in Los Angeles, which is referred to as the âFull Send House.â Being on-site allows them to collaboratively create content on a daily basis.
In August 2020, due to the graphic and sexual nature of the content of videos, NELK launched âSend Club,â a private paid subscription service in which members can access additional prank videos and uncensored behind-the-scenes footage in addition to the weekly YouTube videos.
