Some Lesser Known Facts About Kulwinder Kaur
Kulwinder Kaur joined the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in 2009.
Since 2021, she has worked with the aviation security group at Chandigarh airport.
Her brother, Sher Singh Mahiwal, is the organisational secretary of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, which protested against the now-abolished farm laws in 2021.
In 2024, her husband was posted as a CISF personnel at Chandigarh airport. On 6 June 2024, Kulwinder Kaur slapped and abused actress Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh airport.
She was upset with Kangana Ranaut’s views on the farmers’ protests, organised in 2020-21.
In a video, Kulwinder Kaur mentioned that her mother participated in the 2020-21 farmers’ protests against the three now-scrapped farm laws.

She said she slapped Kangana Ranaut because she was angry about Kangana’s comment in December 2020 that people were willing to join the protest for as low as Rs. 100. She said,
Kangana made a statement that farmers were protesting in Delhi because they were paid Rs. 100 or Rs. 200. At the time, my mother was one of the protesters.”
After her suspension, one of her higher CISF officials stated in the media that Kulwinder Kaur had not faced any inquiries or punishments in the force before Kangna’s incident.
Music composer Vishal Dadlani later came in Kulwinder Kaur’s support and offered her an acting job. He shared a video on his Instagram story and wrote in the caption,
I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need of this @official_cisf personnel’s anger. If any action is taken against her by the CISF, I will ensure that she has a job waiting for her should she choose to accept it. Jai Hind. Jai Jawaan. Jai Kisaan.”
