He played kho-kho and kabaddi during his childhood.

He wanted to become a fast bowler and play cricket while growing up.
Although he was a tall kid, he was very thin and weighed 40 kg during his childhood due to which, his father motivated him to join the gym and start working out when he was 14 years old.
He trained in bodybuilding under ‘Bharat Shri’ and ‘Mr. Maharashtra’ winner, Sandeep Balawalkar.
He entered his first bodybuilding competition show in 1997 when he was 19 years old and won the competition.
He has participated in nearly 300 bodybuilding competitions. He competed in his last bodybuilding competition in March 2010.

In 2017, he became a brand ambassador for the South African supplement brand, ‘Domin8r.’
He has appeared in several Hindi TV shows including ‘Mahabharat’ (2014), ‘ Har Mushkil Ka Hal Akbar Birbal’ (2014), ‘Suryaputra Karn’ (2015-2016), ‘Tenali Rama’ (2020), and ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav’ (2023).

He has appeared in various Hindi, Kannada, and Marathi films including ‘Fool & Final’ (2007), ‘Race 2’ (2013), ‘Action Jackson’ (2014), ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ (2018), ‘Bharaate’ (2019), ‘James’ (2022), and ‘Bhola’ (2023).

He considers American actor and bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger as his idol.
He works out regularly for 3 hours a day during which he often performs 250 sun salutations (Surya Namaskar), 200-250 pushups, and 100 pullups.
To maintain his physique, he eats a rich, protein diet which consists of up to 2kg chicken, 24 eggs, 1ltr fruit juice, 1 ltr of milk, and boiled pulses.
He started his own fitness centre, ‘Ketan Fitness Centre’ for children who want to pursue a bodybuilding career.
He is an animal lover and owns a dog.
