Ken began his career in his teens, at 15-16, by posting comedy videos on YouTube, some of which went viral on WorldStarHipHop. He made videos on topics like “Mexican Moms Be Like.”
Ken worked as a teller at PNC Bank in his early 20s. During that time, he was encouraged by the owner of The Comedy Shrine in Aurora to try stand-up comedy at an open mic event. After his first performance, he became more interested in comedy.

Ken started his first tour in September 2022 with comedian Martin Amini.
In January 2023, he co-headlined a show at the HAHA Comedy Club in North Hollywood with comedian René Vaca, who he later toured with.

Ken once struggled with addiction including cocaine use, excessive drinking, and being overweight. These lifestyle choices led to a hospitalisation, where doctors warned him to make changes to avoid severe health consequences.

Ken was later diagnosed with high blood pressure, and he stayed in the hospital for 10 more days.
Ken found it challenging to balance his lifestyle with his career, especially while touring. He even lost his voice twice during tours but did not cancel shows as he worried it affected the audience’s experience.
Flores later worked on his health to improve his stamina as performing for an hour was challenging at 400 pounds.
On 10 January 2025, Flores started his ‘Butterfly Effect Tour’ in Portland, Oregon. The tour was scheduled to be organised in other cities including Nashville, Austin, Philadelphia, and San Diego.

On 28 January 2025, Ken Flores passed away at his home in Los Angeles amid his national tour. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner determined that his death was due to cardiac arrest.
