Kavvampally Satyanarayana is an Indian doctor, politician, member of the Indian National Congress (INC), and an MLA. In January 2024, he gained attention for his inappropriate behaviour towards female INC workers during the New Year’s celebration in Telangana, leading to widespread criticism.
Satynarayana began working as a doctor in Andhra Pradesh after completing his post-graduation. Following the separation of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh, he practised medicine in Telangana.
In Hyderabad, he has held the post of general surgeon at the Guru Nanak Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital.
In Hyderabad, Kavvampally and Anuradha later established Ankith Multi Speciality Hospital.

Kavvampally is an expert in laparoscopy and endoscopy.
Other than serving as a doctor, he has also served as an assistant professor of surgery in Andhra Pradesh.
He was defeated in the 2009 Andhra Pradesh state elections by an Indian National Congress (INC) candidate named Arepalli Mohan.
Rasamayi Balakishan, a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) candidate, emerged victorious over him in the 2014 Telangana state assembly elections.
In 2021, serving as the District Congress President, he led the party in staging a protest outside the Telangana Legislative Assembly to obstruct the entry of MLAs into the assembly premises. While giving an interview, he said,
Farmers are facing a lot of problems, but the government is not in the mood to solve them. This is the absolute failure of the three Ministers K T Rama Rao, Gangula Kamalakar and Eatala Rajender from in the parliament constituency of Karimnagar.”
In 2022, Kavvampally Satyanarayana founded a library in a public school, providing an opportunity for underprivileged individuals to borrow and read books.
He won the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections by defeating his closest BRS candidate, Erupula Balakishan, by receiving 32,365 more votes than him.
