Karan Mehta is an Indian actor and assistant director, who worked in the 2023 Bollywood film ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.’
He grew up in Delhi, where he lived for four to five years and completed his education till the 6th standard. Later, she relocated to Mumbai with his parents.

He has worked as an assistant director in many Bollywood films. In 2017, he was hired as an assistant director for the Bollywood film ‘Raees’ in which Shah Rukh Khan was cast in a lead role.
In an interview, he revealed that he has a close friendship with Shah Rukh Khan ‘s son Aryan Khan and Bollywood actor Chunky Panday ‘s nephew Ahaan Panday .

He shared that he always wanted to be an actor and later, he made short films and uploaded one of them on YouTube. Aaliyah informed her father, Anurag Kashyap, about the short film after which Anurag contacted him. Karan said,

I always wanted to become an actor. I watched Dhoom (2004) and all of Shah Rukh’s films. I wanted to do films so we made a lot of short films and we put one on YouTube. Anurag’s daughter Aaliyah saw it and informed Anurag about this film. He then messaged me to meet him, narrated a story and made me prepare. In 2022, his film debut film ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ was premiered at the Marrakech International Film Festival in Morocco. He arrived at the film festival along with his opposite lead actress Aalia Furniturewalla and the director of the film Anurag Kashyap .
